Meet Yashita Chereddi, the founder and Editor- in Chief of Our Global Voice 

Yashita is a grade 12 student at the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad, studying Global Politics, Business Management and English at the highest level.

Yashita's goal for this journal is to amplify the diverse voices of her generation from around the world with a focus on driving political awareness and change. We believe that through our informed investigations and writing we can challenge political injustices, human rights, violations biases, and systemic inequalities that are often ignored in the mainstream. By empowering young citizen journalists and thinkers I hope to provide the tools and training for my generation to effectively document and disseminate unbiased information about the latest political events and social movements. 

Yashita has a great passion toward expressing her opinions in political issues globally, and will not stand down from a debate! Her aim for Our Global Voice is to create a platform for teen writers and future foreign foreign policy professionals  such as herself to share information, opinions, about global issues and political conflict.

Yashita is also the regional director for MedTrek.org, equipping the underserved with first aid kids and healthcare education support.

Amev Singh Bagga is a student at the Aga Khan Academy in Hyderabad, India, where he studies economics, global politics and mathematics at a higher level. Outside of the classroom, he is deeply involved in Model United Nations, serving in leadership roles such as the Deputy Head of Finance and Chair at multiple conferences across his hometown. A national record holder for speedcubing and a key player of his school’s football team, he balances academic and athletic pursuits. Amev’s passion for global perspectives aligns with Global Voices’ mission to amplify marginalized voices, as we aim to promote understanding and inclusivity across different cultures.

Arjun Kaza is a passionate advocate for youth-led dialogue and civic engagement, currently serving as a member of  Our Global Voice. Deeply interested in diplomacy and international relations, Arjun has been actively involved in Model United Nations conferences, where he sees meaningful debate as a tool for both personal growth and global change. He is currently pursuing Global Politics as an academic subject, driven by a belief that politics—when used ethically—can transform lives and empower communities. Arjun finds joy in the idea that even small contributions can leave a lasting impact, whether through public speaking, community initiatives, or thought leadership. His work with Global Voice reflects a commitment to amplifying youth perspectives and addressing real-world issues with empathy and intellect. With a sharp eye for critical thinking and a natural flair for public diplomacy, Arjun aspires to shape conversations that matter and build platforms for informed, inclusive discourse.

Aadar Ohri is a driven youth leader and passionate communicator who believes in the power of storytelling and advocacy to spark social change. As a member of Global Voice, Aadar brings a creative perspective to complex issues, often blending art, media, and public speaking to raise awareness about global challenges. With a strong foundation in humanities and an eye for cultural nuance, he enjoys engaging in thought-provoking debates, especially around topics like freedom of expression, social justice, and human rights. Aadar has participated in several national-level Model UN conferences, where his insightful arguments and collaborative approach have stood out. He believes that empowering young people with knowledge and confidence is key to building a more inclusive world. Aadar’s long-term vision is to create platforms where underrepresented voices can be heard, celebrated, and acted upon. His work reflects a deep commitment to equity, dialogue, and creative forms of civic engagement.

Shayan Daredia is a strategic thinker and aspiring policy analyst whose work with Global Voice is shaped by a strong interest in international relations, economics, and law. Known for his methodical approach and sharp analytical mind, Shayan thrives in environments that demand clarity, logic, and leadership. He has consistently excelled in Model United Nations forums, where he specializes in navigating policy debates with precision and diplomacy. Shayan is fascinated by how governance frameworks shape societies and is particularly drawn to global development, human rights law, and conflict resolution. Beyond MUNs, he actively researches geopolitical trends and seeks to understand the long-term impact of global decisions on local communities. Shayan is a firm believer that youth have a critical role to play in shaping more accountable institutions. Through his involvement in Global Voice, he hopes to influence discourse that bridges the gap between policy and people—and ultimately, drive solutions that are both just and sustainable.
